Cypress Completes Dominant Three-Game Sweep Over Santa Ana
Chargers sweep the Dons in three-game series
Game 1: Cypress 3, Santa Ana 2 (Walk-Off Win)
Cypress opened the series with a thrilling 3-2 walk-off victory at home. The Chargers stayed patient after falling behind early and delivered when it mattered most, scoring the game-winning run in the bottom of the seventh.
Offensively, Isabella Rodriguez set the tone with two hits and two runs scored, while Peyton Clark went a perfect 3-for-3 with an RBI. Lynsey Arostigue added two hits and a key RBI to help fuel the comeback.
In the circle, Haley Tucker was dominant, tossing a complete game while allowing just one earned run and striking out six to keep Cypress within striking distance before the late-game heroics.
Game 2: Cypress 9, Santa Ana 4
The Chargers carried their momentum into game two, securing a 9-4 win on the road behind a big offensive surge in the middle innings.
Cypress broke the game open with a five-run fifth inning, finishing with 11 hits overall. Alina Argueta led the way with three RBI, while Madylyn Wynia added two RBI and Lynsey Arostigue collected two hits and scored twice.
In the circle, Mia Alvarez picked up the win in relief, shutting things down over the final three innings to secure the series victory for Cypress.
Game 3: Cypress 10, Santa Ana 2 (6 innings)
Cypress completed the sweep in dominant fashion with a 10-2 run-rule victory in six innings.
The Chargers jumped out early and never let up, capitalizing on patience at the plate with nine walks while adding timely hits. Hailey Rice highlighted the performance with a three-run home run and three RBI, while Alina Argueta and Peyton Clark each contributed to the scoring effort.
Haley Tucker earned her 17th win of the season, going the distance in the shortened game and allowing just one earned run while striking out five.
